Frequently Asked Questions

Do my unused credits rollover each month?

Unfortunately, your credits do NOT rollover. Any unused credits will not be tracked so please make sure you use all your credits each month.

What If I am on vacation OR want to pause my subscription?

You ARE allowed to pause your subscription, just send us an email to postpone payment until the next month. We ask that you do not abuse this privilege because it requires us to manually pause and restart your order which gets tricky with lots of members. In addition, the farms rely on your subscription to pay the bills.

Another option is, you can have a friend or family member receive your box and pick it up from your address. If you didn’t order perishables (e.g. bread, milk, mushrooms) then your friend can store your box until you get back home. Finally, you are also welcome to have your box delivered to a family member, neighbor, or friend for delivery that month, if you let us know in advance & provide us their local delivery address within your delivery zone.

What is your cancellation policy?

As sad as we are to see you go, if you want to cancel your subscription, simply send an email to [email protected] and we will cancel your Farm Box Subscription.

Note: if your subscription is canceled and you decide to return, you may not be able to renew for a period of time and you will be subject to another $10 set-up fee. If you only need a temporary change, we recommend to “pause” your subscription instead, or have a friend, neighbor, or family member accept your box delivery for you if you cannot accept it.

Can I split the box with another family?

Of course! But we will only provide delivery to one address, take one payment in full, and pack into one box. Whatever you decide to do after that is totally okay with us!

Is your farm organic? What does it mean to be “regenerative”?

Our farm is not “USDA certified organic”; however, the means that we raise our animals and grow our produce is by using all natural and regenerative methods. The barrier for a farm to be “certified organic” is impossibly high and expensive. As a regenerative farm, we are not able to, by law, describe what we do as “organic” in any way. BUT we can assure you that what we are doing goes beyond any “faux” labeling claims we could make. We use no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We often utilize our “waste” streams to feed our livestock such as giving extra vegetables or milk to the pigs. We also give our animals 24/7 outside access. This is in direct contrast to the government labeled and certified food that allows animals to be raised in confinement in their own manure, toxic air, and in a warehouse 24/7.

Do you ever buy products from other farms to supplement your subscription?

Yes, we purchase products from other local farms to supply your box. Our lamb is from AJ’s Happy Chick Farm, the maple syrup is from the Cochran Kids, the tallow deodorant is from Fat Chance Farm, and the eggs, bread, and mushrooms are from Forrest Rhodes. We cannot do it all here on our small farm! We take very special consideration of what farms we choose to partner with to ensure that their agricultural practices and values align with ours. Everything is grown and produced locally to the highest standards. This is just another way to support our community and other local farmers. #farmershelpingfarmers

What If I don’t make my box selections/preferences/choices?

Every 20th of every month we will send an email with the “Subscription Box Selection Form” for you to choose your items. If you signed up for your subscription box on or after the 20th, then your first delivery will be the following month. If you do not select any choices, we will send you email reminders. If you do not respond, we will select your choices for you.

The Last Farm Box you will ever need

"Best dairy farm I've ever visited (and extremely clean)! The way the cows are treated with love and kindness is truly amazing. Quality and taste of the raw milk and meat clearly reflects how happy and healthy the animals are. So grateful to have discovered this hidden delight!"

- Vyg Kun

"This family farm is a hidden gem. Nestled in the hills with heritage breed cows and pigs. It is picturesque, but it's not just a beautiful setting, Hilary is knowledgeable about a wide variety of homesteading skills. The milk is fresh and creamy, and her classes are fun for all ages. Hiliary recently made soap with my daughter, and it came out wonderful. Highly recommend!"

- C Gunther

"Pinch me! Am I dreaming? Pork that surpasses my childhood memories; flavorful and tender. Milk quality can't be matched, so worth the price when you factor in the cream and the nutrition. Hilary has gone the extra mile to offer the very best in all of her products. I know because I had a farm and know it is a 24hr/7dwk investment of attention and commitment."
